Board of Directors:
At Large Position 1: Bob Cosburn – 1.602.376.2622, jazztramp@cox.net
Bob Cosburn and his wife, Dawn fell in love with Crown King almost nine years ago and have been coming to their home in the mountains, every weekend since. They have two adult children, Danielle and Kevin who love the residents of this terrific community as much as their Mom and Dad. In fact, Dawn often tells visitors that “we work in the Valley but we live
in Crown King”. Bob is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Crown King Community Association and promises to do his best for the residents, property owners, and businesses of this thriving community.
Bob holds a Master of Mass Communication Degree from The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunications, at Arizona State University, and works full-time as a Media Advertising Consultant for Dex Media throughout Northern Arizona. Bob said recently that, “It’s a honor and a privilege to be part of this Association. We’ve got an incredible amount of energy and experience across the board members, not to mention all of the exceptional folks in this community.” As long as everyone doesn’t mind Bob’s Canadian accent from time to time, (your token Crown King Canadian), we should be in great shape going forward.
At Large Position 2: Knut Nerheim – 602.561.8414, knut.nerheim@linde.com
Knut Nerheim and his wife Susan, and their kids Rebecca and Daniel, found Crown King on a camping trip in 1995. From 1995 to 2005, the family had countless camping trips to Crown King. In 2005 they bought a cabin and have spent most of their weekends in Crown King. Knut, Susan and Daniel are volunteers with the Crown King Fire Department, and the entire family loves owning a cabin, and being a part of the community, in Crown King. Knut is very excited about being on the Crown King Community Association board, and is looking forward to actively participate with the association to serve the Crown King community.
Knut is originally from Tresfjord, Norway, and has lived in the US since 1984. He has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, and works for the Linde Group as a process safety engineer. Sue’s Bio and Photo will be posted soon
Treasurer: Jim Reidburn – 928.632.4197, jreidburn@hotmail.com
Jim Reidburn made his first trip to Crown King in the mid 70’s. A friend and his family brought Jim and his family to CK for the day to picnic, hike, and generally have some fun. Part of the reason for the trip was because Jim and his family were avid ghost town hunters. Throughout the mid 70’s and into the 80’s and 90’s, the family visited over 30 ghost towns in Arizona. Jim realized that hustle and bustle of Phoenix was not where he wanted to spend the rest of his life. So, he sent his son off to the Navy and he and his wife bought a piece of property in CK on which they thought they would build a cabin. After a lot of camping trips and weekend visits to the property, they realized embarking on the cabin building process might be a little over whelming. So, they started looking for a cabin to buy. After a few months of talking with the ‘locals’, they discovered that a gentleman by the name of Morse Whitley may be thinking about selling his cabin. After a few more months of negotiations, the deal was made in April 1996. Jim lost his wife of 25 years, to a terminal illness in 2005. He still makes the every other weekend trip to CK and enjoys the many friends and neighbors that he has there. Jim is becoming more active in the affairs of the community and looks forward to having a functional role in the newly formed Crown King Community Association.
