Oktoberfest 2010!
For those who were not aware, on October 2 we held the 1st Annual CKCA Sponsored Oktoberfest Event. The date was moved from its original date of October 23rd, so in case there was confusion we gave it a shot on both days. The main one (10/2) was also held on the date of Applefest. We had about 100 guests throughout the afternoon and it was a great time. We are already looking forward to next years’ event!
There are plenty of photos on Facebook on the Oktoberfest/Applefest page, & the Crown King, AZ Page. We have also included this information and more on the Crown King Oktoberfest Page at www.crownkingca.org. There are still short sleeve mens and short sleeve womens v-neck shirts available for sale online or contact Meara to purchase. They are also available in the Prospector and Saloon for $15. We have a couple Steins left as well – They are $20.

Profit to CKCA after expenses: $536 and counting! There is still money coming in from the Prospector and Saloon’s t-shirt sales, online t-shirt sales, and Easley’s.

Welcome to our Applefest/Oktoberfest Page – We hope you take the 1.5 hour drive and escape the heat this weekend for a good cause!
The Applefestival is a family and children oriented event that is spread throughout town, mainly on Main Street. Proceeds for Applefest usually are donated to the Historical Society
The Oktoberfest Beer Garden(the one benefitting the CKCA) will be held in the side lot of the Prospector Mall from 12-6pm and is for Adults only. Proceeds from the Oktoberfest Beer Garden will go to the Crown King Community Association.
We are fast approaching the Winter Season and this is one of the last events of the year, so your attendance and donations are very much appreciated.
You can pay for Oktoberfest directly from this page using Google Checkout. Applefest will have a registration table and the cost is simply $5 per child.

This is the one Beer Tent that will be donating all proceeds back to the Crown King Community Association, so please come support us!
NOTE * Easley’s Costumes in Phoenix has agreed to give 10% of all sales and rentals for Oktoberfest costumes to the Crown King Community Association! Please support us by shopping there and ask for Debbie or simply mention Crown King. We would love to see you dressed in your Oktoberfest BEST!
The TEAM for this event is Meara, Margaret, and Tommey. Please contact us to sign up and again WE LOVE VOLUNTEERS! Parking and Overnight accommodations (see Crown King links on this page for cabin rentals at Bear Creek, Bradshaw Mtn, or Cedar Roost) will be extremely limited and PLEASE no dogs in town during that weekend.
